Selasar Suanryo is an art gallery located in the northern part of Bandung , West Java . Selasar Sunaryo built by Sunaryo , contemporary artist and former art professor Bandung Institute of Technology and was inaugurated on Saturday, September 5th, 1998. This non-profit art gallery.

Initially only featuring works Sunaryo , but then facilitating the work of other artists, especially of contemporary art.

1.    Profile Sunaryo

Sunaryo is one of the Indonesian artist, he was born in Banyumas dated May 15, 1943, the second of seven children. All the success stories in the world of art began as a slate (stationery made of stone shaped thin boards to be written), which is left in his class when he sat in the 1st grade. Rushing he took sabaknya, when he found behind the door of a landscape image. That first painting was recorded by him in memory until now.

2.    History of Establishment

Selasar Sunaryo Art was founded in 1997, was inaugurated by the Director General of Culture Edi Sedyawati, representing the Minister of Education and Culture Juwono.Although already started construction since 1997, but there monetary crisis in 1998 that led to the construction of this corridor was stopped.

3.    Artwork

Selasar Sunaryo Artspace held Sunaryo works and several guest artists. Sunaryo's work focuses on multimedia installations that can accommodate difficult to express the idea that if only through the line or volume. Broadly speaking, the works Sunaryo disclosing classified in three areas: social, religious, and processing of local materials.
