Bakti
Desa is one of the program that exist in 3 Senior high School. It’s a must for
all the students. Bakti Desa is an annual
internal SMAN 3 Bandung's program. This is the program that we go to the
village for 3 days and we worked with the people at that village. The purpose
of Bakti Desa is that we can feel and see the world through our eyes. Bakti
Desa was held on 3 days, Thursday, 23rd of October 2014, until Saturday, 25th
of October 2014. At the first day
(Thursday), we gathered at SMAN 3 Bandung at 6 a.m. Next, we was checked by our homeroom. They
checked all the students of their class. We went there by public transportation
(angkot). We could choose our own public transportation. I’m with the public
transportation that brought my friends in the class too. I’m there with Mulki,
Haikail, Fakim, Brenda, Sabrina, Faishal, Dafi, and Asa. We went to the location at 6.45 a.m
because we had to prepare our packing first. We arrived at Desa Resmi Tingal at
10 a.m. First, we gathered at Balai Desa, and then we waited at The Village
Hall and watched The Opening of Bakti
Desa.

In the opening, our headmaster, Mr. Encang, spoke and gave us
a speech about this program. After that, The Head of the village was also gave
us a speech. We watched it together, and it took about an hour. We were hungry
at that time. Luckily, there were foods in The Village Hall for us. After that,
we had lunch at The Village Hall with The Sundanese food menu. After we have finished
eating, we waited our transportation to go to our class’ sub-village.

We went there with our teacher, Mrs. Diden. We was guided by
The Head of the sub-village. We went there by our school’s car and another car.
It took about 30 minutes to go to our sub-village by car. We was guided to our
house by The Head of The Sub-Village. I caught some photo of The Village’s
Environment.

Some of my friends looked after our baggage at our pick-up
truck. They had to check and look after our bags in the pick-up truck.

After we arrived at our Sub-Village, we waited for our class
teacher to find our house one by one and checked them. We waited in front of
the House Of The Village Head. We waited at there together.

While we were waiting at there, my friend, Mara borrowed my
camera to photo some things there, like plants and flowers. His photo is good
in my point of view.

After that, we went to our house in the village. We were
divided in a group, which one group consist by 4 or 3 people. I'm on the Group
8 Male, the member is male students in my class from absent 23 until absent 25.
My group's house was at RW 06. The parents in my house was Mr. Wawan Hermawan.
He worked as farmer and has a farm, and his wife worked as house wife.

We started our activity with our adoptive parents. They introduced themself, and we acquainted ourself. Then, our class teacher came and told our school’s propose about “Bakti Desa”. After that, we invited by our class teacher to hold conversation with the Village Head about strategy in doing “Bakti Sosial”. “Bakti Sosial” is one of the program in “Bakti Desa”. We have to share some of our things that we have to our neighbor there.

We walked to the hill, and then we can saw the view of the
mountain. It was very very cold. But it was very amazing and I love it.
We also worked at farm and helped our adoptive parents. We
worked at their farm.

On the first day, we pray Maghrib at the mosque. We also followed the "Pengajian", it was very nice. We prayed Isya at the mosque too. After we finished pray, we came back to our house. At 8 p.m., my class gathered at RW 06, we did the bonfire. It was very wonderful. We talked to each other, and that moment made me very happy. The second day, i with my friends went to the river. The river is so far from our house, so we must walked through the steep hill. It was quite difficult.

At the night, there was a little event at Balai Desa. There were The Show of Kuda Renggong.. It was very cool. After that event we went back to our house and slept. The third day, in the morning, we gathered in the mosque to do the counselling (education) about health. The speaker was from our class, and Kang Dito from Faculty of Medicine Maranatha University. The audience were the people that lived in Desa Resmi Tingal. After we did the counselling, we prepared our bags and put it in Balai Desa. After that, we waited for the transportation. We came back to Bandung at 11.30 a.m. We arrived at 3 Senior High School on 2.30 p.m. I was tired, and also my bag was really heavy, but Bakti Desa was very awesome! So many lessons that I can took from these 3 days. This was really worth.
